Ask your State Senator to Remove Amendment from HB140
HB140 was dealt a big blow in the waning days of the spring 2022 session of the Pennsylvania legislature and we need your help.
HB140 was poised to come up for a vote in May. Over a thousand emails were sent to Committee members asking for a committee vote plus a support letter from over 30 organizations from across the Commonwealth. After many committee meetings came and went during June, HB140 was finally “sunshined” on Friday, June 24th for a vote to occur in the Senate Transportation Committee the following week.
Unfortunately, in the end, the bill was voted out of the Committee on June 30th but only after it was amended. This blog post goes into more detail about that amendment.
We need you to ask your State Senator to push for the clean version of HB 140. We are happy with the original printer number #106 and we are hoping the Senate will consider that version.
